ABOUT THIS PATTERN
This pattern is for a medium Chewbacca dog sweater! I include details to modify this pattern to fit any sized dog. The sweater is crocheted top-down, the bandolier strap is created using fair isle crochet, and the bandolier bag is crocheted in one foldable piece. The strap and bag are then sewn on to the sweater. The bag is functional! (A great place to store dog waste bags.)

SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate: experience with faux fur yarn and fair isle crochet is recommended.

SIZE
This pattern is originally designed for a medium-sized dog (~25 lbs). However, I have included instructions on how to modify this pattern to fit any sized dog and I have provided instructions for a small and large sized bandolier strap and bag.

• The length of the medium sweater is 18” and the circumference of the sweater around the dog’s chest is 25”
• The length of the medium bandolier strap is 28” and the width is 2½”
• The length of the medium bandolier bag is 4½” and the width is 3¾”

MATERIALS

• 190 yards of brown bulky faux fur yarn (I used 3 skeins of Fantastic Faux Fur by Luv in Leopard)
• 65 yards of brown worsted yarn (I used Lion Brand Heartland in Sequoia)
• 20 yards of silver/grey worsted yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny Solids in Silver Fox)
• Crochet Hooks: 8 mm, 5 mm
• Stich markers
• Darning needle
• Scissors
• Snap (optional)
• Sewing needle (optional)
• Thread (optional)

GAUGE
4” x 4” of bulky faux fur yarn is 8 sc x 9 rows
