Ever since designing the Cabled Dog Sweater a few years ago, I’ve wanted to create an easier crochet dog sweater pattern for those who like texture, but not cables. Chewy’s Crochet Dog Sweater is an easy, yet stylish design that is crocheted in only one piece. And when making the smaller sizes, it’s a great 1 skein project!

Yarn
For this crochet dog sweater, I chose Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice, which is a worsted weight yarn. Vanna’s Choice is a 100% acrylic yarn that is available in 36 gorgeous colors. Each ball of a solid color of Vanna’s Choice yarn is 170 yards so if you’re making one of the smaller sizes, this is a great one skein project! Even the largest sizes will use less than 2 balls of yarn. With 36 colors to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect color for your pet within this yarn line!
