A toy can be made of different types of yarn. It is important to choose the appropriate eyes, splints/joints and hook size.

A toy made of semi-cotton yarn, using 1.75 mm hook is about 12 cm/4.7”.
A toy made of velour/plush yarn using 2.25 mm hook – 16 cm/6.3”.

✂MATERIALS & SUPPLIES:

✔ semi-cotton yarn (~330 m/100 gr.) (Gazzal Jeans, YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, etc.) (main yarn consumption is ~ 50 gr.):

• beige;
• black (for the nose, smile and eyebrows); OR:
• velour/plush yarn (~170 m/ 100 gr.) (YarnArt Velour, Himalaya Dolphin Fine) (1 ball)

✔ hooks:
-1.75 mm for the body;
-1.5 mm for the nose;
OR:
-2,25-2,5 mm for velour/plush yarn;

✔ a pair of plastic eyes 12-14 mm for a small toy, OR 18-20 mm for a large toy;
✔ (optional) false eyelashes and glue;
✔ (optional) brown and pink artist’s pastel for toning + brush;

IMPORTANT! The head can be installed using plastic joint/splint/button 15-20 mm in diameter (size depends on the size of your toy) or just sew it, but then it will be motionless.
