This is a pattern for a cute, quick, and easy Pokemon-- Mudkip.

He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi Pokémon designs and the last of the starter Pokémon from the Hoenn region.

Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall, and consistent in size with my other pokemon amigurumi.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of a Blue yarn, and smaller amounts of Light Blue and Orange yarn, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, 10mm plastic eyes, and a yarn needle.

Mudkip is a cute little guy and really not too complicated. He does require quite a bit of color switching on the body and head, but they’re not too taxing. The cheek spikes are a little fiddly too, but they’re worked around a central single chain and are similar to the feet on some of the other bird pokemon. This concludes the Hoenn starter pokemon!
