This is a pattern for a cute, quick, and easy pokemon-- Phanpy.

He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi pokemon designs.

Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall, and consistent in size with my other pokemon amigurumi.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of a light blue yarn, a minuscule amount of a light gray or white yarn, some orange felt or yarn, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, plastic eyes (8mm is good), and a yarn needle.

Phanpy is a cute and chubby little fellow and his parts are easy to make. Note that his eyes are smaller than most of the other pokemon eyes in this series, and his body and head differ in that the body below is bigger and the head above is smaller (similar to psyduck). I’m not entirely satisfied with the colors that I had available when I made my pattern. I think he would look even better with a lighter blue, lighter gray foot accents, and darker red-orange felts. But he’s still cute, even with the colors lightly off. I’ll post an update if I’m able to make a sample with better colors.
