This is a pattern for a cute and extremely popular pokemon-- Pikachu.
He’s part of my collection of chibi pokemon designs.
Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall at the head, and closer to 5 inches at the ear-tips. He’s consistent in size with my other pokemon amigurumi.
You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 30g) of yellow yarn, negligible amounts of light brown and black yarn, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, plastic eyes (10mm is good), red felt, and a yarn needle.
The tail should curve slightly outwards when you’re done, this will help it sit upright.
I hope you enjoy!
