You may use any color and brand yarn you like ~ just make sure it’s yarn of Medium weight and you should be fine! Below is what I used
Blue yarn in “Light blue” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Yellow yarn in “Bright yellow” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Green yarn in “Minty” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Green yarn in “Spring Green” Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Orange yarn in “Pumpkin” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Blue yarn in “Turquoise” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Pink yarn in “Perfect Pink” ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
