Chibi Umbreon Amigurumi
This is a pattern for a cute and easy pokémon-- Umbreon.
He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi pokemon designs.
Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall at the head, and closer to 5 inches at the ear-tips. He’s consistent in size with my other pokémon amigurumi and other chibi eeveelutions.
You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of black yarn, a very small amount of yellow yarn, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, red or black-painted-red plastic eyes (10mm is good), yellow felt, and a yarn needle.
Umbreon is definitely cute, but the eyes are a bit tricky. Bright-red, solid-color eyes are pretty unnerving, and I couldn’t find any red doll-eyes to try, so I used a paint pen to paint black eyes red and then scratched away a slitted pupil to match Umbreon as best I could. I do rather like the result, all things considered. There could certainly be a number of other approaches to the eyes, so I’m curious what you come up with!
I hope you enjoy!
