This is a pattern for a cute and kind of fiddly pokémon-- Vaporeon.

He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi pokemon designs.

Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall at the head, and closer to 5 inches at the fin-tip. He’s consistent in size with my other pokémon amigurumi and the final one of the original three Eeveelutions.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of light blue yarn, and smaller amounts of white, light yellow, and dark blue yarn, scraps of black yarn or embroidery thread, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, plastic eyes (10mm is good), and a yarn needle.

Vaporeon is definitely the most complicated of the original Eeveelutions, and the first of my chibi pokemon that I wouldn’t quite call ‘easy.’ There are a lot of rather unique little parts to make, but I think they do go together pretty well in the end.
