Directions are given for knitting on straight needles or for knitting in the round.

The gauge in stockinette stitch using US size 8 needles is 18 stitches and 21 rows = 4 inches.

Materials needed: 125-150 yds. worsted wool, US size 8 (or whatever needed to get gauge) straight or double-pointed needles. Small round stitch markers are helpful for keeping track of lace pattern repeats.
