Chicane Socks
Sizes: Women’s small (medium, large), leg circumference approximately 6¾ (8, 9¼)”, unstretched. Sample is shown in size medium.
Materials:
• 1 (1, 2) skeins Sunshine Yarns Classic Sock (100% Superwash Merino Superwash; 370yds, 100g), shown in Smoke Gray, or similar fingering weight yarn for main color (MC). For the larger sizes, you will need 375-425 yards of yarn.
• 20 (30, 40) yards Sunshine Yarns Classic Sock (100% Superwash Merino Superwash; 370yds, 100g), shown in Orange Poppy, or similar fingering weight yarn for contrast color (CC).
• 1 set of size US0 (2.0mm) double point knitting needles (or size required for gauge)
• 1 set of US1 (2.25mm) double point knitting needles (or one size larger than required for gauge) – optional
• Tapestry needle
Gauge: 36 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch. For additional sizes, try working at a gauge of 32 or 34 sts = 4”.
