Works to end of February.
Chichi Vest is a chunky minimalistic style vest.
It’s designed with high bottom ribbing, V-neck and body shaped with decorative decreases along armholes and neckline. Chichi Vest has cropped length and regular fit for the body.
This vest doesn’t require any finishing, so as you join shoulders your vest is done.
Chichi Vest is a perfect extra layer to wear over your favorite shirt with high waist jeans or skirt.
Chichi vest is worked bottom up and seamlessly. At first, work body in the round to underarms. Then divide for back and front and work yokes flat separately. Shape armholes and V-neck with decorative double decreases while simultaneously working i-cord edges. Once V-neck shaping is done and desired yoke’s length is reached, shoulders are joined together using Three needles bind off method.

For longer vest, you will need more yarn than estimated.
Suggested yarn: Any blown aran weight yarn (similar to Drops Air) held together with mohair lace weight yarn OR bulky weight yarn worked single stranded to obtain the required gauge.
Gauge
16.5 sts x 21 rows = 10 cm (4’’) in St st in the round and back and forth in rows on larger needles after blocking.
Take time to check your gauge before starting your project.
If you can’t obtain stitch and row gauge at the same time – it’s more important to obtain stitch gauge and the row gauge (length) can be adjusted according to the measurements in cm/inches.
Techniques used: Long tail cast on, knitting in the round and flat, right and left leaning double decreases (video included), C4F cable, Three needle bind off.
