PATTERN INFORMATION

- The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.

SKILLS NEEDED
- The skill level needed is advanced beginner.
- The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, invisible decrease, the adjustable (magic) ring, and hand embroidery.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- yarn in your choice of colors (about 23 yds/21 m of worsted/aran)
- a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
- stitch markers
- tapestry needle
- stuffing
- pins
- scissors
- chopstick to help stuff
- safety eyes, 8 mm
- embroidery floss
- embroidery needle
- Crayon, acrylic paint, or blush for coloring the ears and cheeks (optional)
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Using hook size E/4 (3.5 mm) the Crochet Chick Egg measures approximately 2 ⅝ inches (6.7 cm) tall and approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) in circumference, not including the wings.
