Fun fact:
The chick basket is the first pattern I ever created.

When I began publishing my patterns I found this little gem tucked away in a notebook awaiting the day I would edit and publish the cute little Easter basket chick. Once I got started on this processes I realized that it could be a pig also and I’m sure I could come up with loads of other variations for this fun, easy, and versatile treat basket. Another fun thing about this design is that it fits on a water bottle as a cozy but it also could fit on the bottom of a baby bottle. How fun would that be to keep a baby interested at feeding time? I hope you enjoy making this pattern as much as I enjoyed designing it.
Happy Crocheting!
Jessica

Supplies:
•Yarn needle
•Hook size: 4.5 mm, 3.0 mm hook (for eggs only)
•Yarn: size 4 in colors of choice. For the chick I used Impeccable Speckle Stripes in Sunrise, Lion Brand Feels like Butta in Lemon (for the wings), Red Heart Super Saver in Carrot (for the beak and feet), Small amount of Black yarn for the eyes. For the pig I used Impeccable in Soft Rose and a small amount of Impeccable in Plum for the nostrils.
