This chicken pattern gives multiple options for both striped or solid chickens. Using a single strand of worsted with size 7 needles will give you a smaller chicken. Plying two strands of worsted together with size 10 needles will give you a larger chicken.

Gauge isn’t critical for this project. Choose your yarn, pick needles two sizes smaller than recommended (to avoid stuffing poking out later) and let your chicken emerge into its fabulous self.

□ 200-260 yards of worsted yarn in body colors
□ 10 yards worsted in Red for Wattle and Comb
□ 3 yards worsted in Yellow for beak
□ Eyes
□ 100 – 200 grams Poly-fill stuffing
