Chicken Amigurumi
This pattern is quite straightforward and can be completed with basic crochet stitches and is suitable for an amigurumi beginner. It comes with 9 pages detailed instructions and 18 photos to help you follow along. The techniques used in this pattern are:
Crocheting in continuous round,
-forming a magic ring,
-handling of small crochet parts (optional)
-sc inc - single crochet increase
-sc dec - single crochet decrease
-ss - slip stitch
-ch - chain stitch
Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a chicken of about 8cm/3in tall and 7cm/ 2.8in wide. It will be bigger if you use a thicker yarn and smaller if you use a thinner yarn.
The materials you will need for this project will be (based on fingering yarn):
White yarn
Red yarn
Orange yarn
Safety Eyes 7mm x2 (use a bigger size if you are using a thicker yarn)
Stuffing
Crochet Hook 2.5mm (or a hook size suitable for your yarn)
Felting needle + pink felting wool OR pink felt and glue
Yarn needle
