This is a fun and mulifunctional Chicken Egg Collecting Basket that is attractive enough to be on display in any kitchen.

Besides being used to gather eggs it has several other uses. Without the embellishments of the chicken head and tail feathers it is a handy basket and without the handle it becomes a caboodle to contain small items at the front door, in the bathroom or on the bedroom vanity. Keys, nail polish, or jewellry can be kept in their place easily to be found.

And, if made in pastels what a fun Easter Basket that can hold plenty of goodies and little toys that will delight the child in all of us.

This project is made with double strands of #4 medium weight yarn which makes it a quick make. The pattern contains picture tutorials and links to YouTube tutorials for some stitches. It can be made in a variety of colours. The colours shown in the pattern are to simulate those of the Plymouth Rock chicken.

Whatever your need a Chicken Egg Collecting Basket, an Easter Basket, or a caboodle, it is a fun, quick, muti-purpose make.
