Chicken Hat Headpiece
This is the FIRST of my elaborate Halloweeen annual costumes that I have created a pattern for and I am so excited!
This pattern has instructions to crochet the shown chicken headpiece. I’ve rated this Intermediate Plus, as you MUST use and count with stitch markers. The main hat works up SUPER fast, double strand worsted weight yarn with a 9mm hook. The details use a K and I hook.
Note as of July 2024, you now get the notations on how I made my EAGLE shown in last image. This is small notations and guidance provided free of charge to you!
You should know how to read and follow a written pattern using standard US terms and symbols, use stitch markers to mark positions and count rounds for accuracy, basic stitches such as slst, sc, hdc, dc are used. A foam head is helpful for sewing, as very specific instructions are given so yours turns out exactly as it should! A rolled bath towel will do the trick in a pinch.
You should have about 660 yards of your main color worsted weight yarn. I have used a single strand bulky velvet for my combs but you can sub doubled worsted perfectly. Please see the tester photos! It has been fully tested for accuracy as well so it will be enjoyable to make.
You CAN sell the finished items you make with your own two hands, no mass productions.
You CANNOT film/video/stream yourself making the pattern in passing or a tutorial ever. Do not share the pattern, the purchase price is a single user license to the intellectualk copyrighted property in the pdf. You cannot excerpt a little or a lot, change a little or a lot, or claim as your own free or paid anywhere. Do not post pattern instruction images online and please use your photos of your item should you choose to sell the completed hat.
