A double thick crochet chicken potholder pattern.

Finished size: 9.5″ W x 11″ H

This pattern features a front “breast pocket” to slip the hand into for grabbing warm dishes. Nearly double thick crochet stitch offers some heat protection for quick transfers of warm and somewhat hot pans and plates.

Potholder looks adorable just as a display with the built in wood ring worked directly into chicken comb. Shown they are styled to look like a hen and rooster pair.

The pattern is beginner friendly with video tutorial to help with shaping and seaming.

Materials: Category 4 cotton yarn, 4 mm crochet hook, small amounts of yarn for “feathers”, nose and eyes. Safety eyes may be used but are not heat safe.
