Pattern Notes
● This pattern uses two strands of yarn at the same time. I used I Love This
Yarn in black for the main part of the chicken and just some scrap worsted
weight acrylic yarns for the eyes, beak, and hair. Feel free to use cotton if
you’d like. The double strands makes it extra sturdy.
● Always join with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round, not the chain.
● The first stitch of each round always goes directly into the same stitch
you’ve chained in.
● I use a magic circle to start this project, but if you’d rather, you can chain
four and connect to the first stitch and then do your single crochets into
the circle. But there are many online tutorials showing the magic circle.
● Finished product ends up being about 8 ½-9 ½ inches across.
