This long, rectangular scarf is a gift made for a friend who recently lost a much-loved sheep called “Chiefy’s Daughter” shortly after gifting me her fleece. I asked Monique Dreef to do her spinning magic on it, which resulted in a gorgeous 2-ply 100% merino, ca. 280m/100g.
There will be 2 remembrance scarves for my friend and her partner, this is the first, knit on 3,75mm needles.

Knit through from end-to-end (no grafting!) with old shale borders and a garter stitch center, it is suitable for any weight of yarn and easily adjustable in length and width.
Lace pattern is charted only. Gauge is irrelevant.
