This pattern is for a chihuahua, written in US crochet terms. It is suitable for beginners in amigurumi as there are no complicated stitches though it is important to count stitches carefully and to mark the round you are on with a stitch marker or yarn scrap. The pattern is worked as a continuous spiral apart from the short rows on the body. You can use any yarn type you like for this pattern but please ensure you use an appropriate hook size so the stuffing does not show through. I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn and a 3.25mm hook and the example measures about 12.5cm in height. You can use safety eyes or use felt or embroidered eyes. The samples were made using 10mm eyes.
