It is very easy to size up by adding a few more stitches or even going up a hook size. I initially made a bunch of headbands with different animal characters, then when I decided to publish them, I wrote the pattern using the seed stitch only( this is for the middle part of the headband as it allows more stretch). The headband is worked from the middle section first, then you do the top and bottom ribbing. The ear sections are doubled so they are very warm.
