When my kids asked me for some “super squishy slippers” I knew to which yarn to turn. Bernat Blanket Yarn™ makes these slippers work up quickly, comes in a variety of colours and has a tempting, comforting, warm cozy feel! The sole is made simply using a flip flop. Wear them around the house, the cottage, while on the lake front deck or pool.

Finished Size (Children’s):
Finished Size: Small: 7.5 inch sole, 1.5 inches tall
Meduim: 8.2 inch sole, 2.5 inches tall
Large:: 8.6 inch sole, 3 inches tall

You will need one pair of flip flops of desired size.

Yarn: Bernat Blanket Yarn™ (%100 Acrylic; 364 yds/7 oz/333 m/ 198g); Super Bulky Weight. Colours of your choice.

Small amount of worsted weight yarn.

Hook: Size J/10 (6 mm) and 2 mm Hooks. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn Needle. And sharp item for poking holes in the flip flop. I used a sharp tapestry needle.
