Child’s Basic Cap & Mitts #C732
This children’s’ version of our popular pattern for a traditional cap is written for both worsted weights on #7 needles, and bulky weights of yarn on #10 needles. The directions for the four-needle mittens in worsted weight are easy to follow, even for beginners.
Have fun adding stripes of many colors or a band of pattern just above the ribbed cuff. Any fiber and any spin of yarn can be used– textured blends, tweeds, raw wools and cotton blends. Just remember to make sure that you match the gauge in the instructions. The set is especially lovely for toddlers in the soft, non-allergic, machine-washable Superwash wools.
