This hat was sized for a large-headed 7 year old and should fit up to tween and possibly even a smaller headed adult. It is designed to be a little tall so the blocky shape of the top can be preserved.

The hat itself is very easy, but the finishing adds a level of difficulty and requires a fair amount of sewing. I am certain there are better ways to finish and would love to see others’ modifications!

The yarn used and suggested is acrylic, but I would love to try this again with a wool blend. I believe the integrity of the flat top and rounded edge would be maintained much better after blocking.
