Child's Wren Sweater
The Child’s Wren Sweater is knit from the top down, working back and forth to first create the back yoke with shoulder shaping in a double moss stitch pattern. Then stitches are picked up to create the left and right shoulders, with increases to shape the neckline, in double moss stitch pattern. Then the two shoulders are joined together to create the front yoke which is also knitted in the double moss stitch pattern. Once the front yoke has been completed, the front and back yoke are joined together in the round where all stitches are now knitted in stockinette until you reach your desired length and finish with a 1 x 1 rib. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armholes that have been made, which are worked in stockinette and have staggered decreases to taper the sleeves before finishing with a 1 x 1 rib. Stitches are also picked up to create a 1 x 1 rib collar for the neck.
