Chime
Chime is a cropped, floaty sweater with contrasting stripes and vast billowing sleeves.
Layer it over a tank top or strappy dress, or under a pinafore or dungarees. However you wear it you’ll have plenty of fun swanning about in the fun, floofy (and slightly impractical) sleeves.***
Size information
This sweater is designed to be worn with 10 - 20 cm positive ease. It’s a fairly flexible knit, though, and would also work with a little negative ease, or quite a lot more positive ease.

Yarn
This sweater is knit using two very different yarns.
Yarn A: Look for something strong and lustrous for yarn A. A silk or silk-blend yarn is perfect, but tencel or mercerised cotton could also work well. This yarn is used for the areas of the sweater that need a little strength - collar, cuffs, underarms and hem - so a yarn that doesn’t snap easily is needed here.
Yarn B: For yarn B you’re looking for fluff! Mohair is perfect, but a brushed suri alpaca would also work well. Look for a yarn that’s light and fluffy, and gives a pleasing loose fabric when knitted at a loose gauge.
The samples here use:
Caitin Silk (100% mulberry silk, 100gr/ 400m) for yarn A
Caitin Fluff (68% mohair, 32% silk, 50gr/ 400m) for yarn B.
The darker grey colourway is Chasing Shadows and the lighter sea green shade is We’re So Far From Shore Now
