This fun to knit pattern matches Chimney Tops Trail Hat & Chimney Tops Trail Cowl. They are knit in the round.

This Chimney Tops Trail Mitts design is perfect for gift knitting. They work up so fast. The sample is knit with Malabrigo Yarns Rios, but your favorite worsted weight wool or wool blend would do nicely. I am particularly fond of the way this stitch pattern looks with hand dyed yarns, but any tonal or solid would look stunning as well. They feature an interesting texture that is wonderfully stretchy.

This fun to knit pattern has the beautiful texture of cables without the hassle of using a cable needle. It features simple twisted stitches. The name is inspired by the challenging, popular trail of the Great Smoky Mountains by the same name. This design is perfect for an advanced beginner, yet challenging enough for a seasoned knitter and makes a wonderful quick gift.
