Chloet Hat is inspired by my lovely and adorable niece Chloe (with a little added Frenchness in there). The name Chloe means blooming, and what better way to kick off spring than a little knit hat that is sweet and light. Knit in the round with star stitch and a cable vertical stripe, Chloet Hat is a perfect accessory for springtime when it’s not quite warm enough for full summer attire.

Pattern Information
Knit in the round on circular needles or double pointed needles. Pattern for 4 sizes: Size 1 (child) =16”, Size 2 (teen) = 18”,
Size 3 (adult small) = 20” and Size 4 (adult large) =22” circumference of head with negative ease for snug fit.

Yarn
2 skeins (approx 200 yards/183 meters total) of DK weight yarn. Sample made with Big Bad Wool Weepaca in Blush color.

Measurements
Hat length is 8”/20cm from folded brim edge (can add 1”/2.5cm
extra before the decreases for longer length but that will affect
yardage).

Needles
Size US 5/3.75mm and US 7/4.5mm 16”/40cm circular, double pointed needles, or longer circular needles for magic loop (use needle size needed to obtain gauge).

24 stitches and 24 rounds in star stitch pattern in the round = 4”/10cm on size US 7/4.5mm needle or size needed to obtain gauge. Please take the time to check the gauge.
