A cropped, V-Neck vest I improvised with impulse bought yarn. You can easily modify the length or the stitch pattern, I used a 4-row repeat of knits and purls.

Body worked flat & bottom up, armholes and neck picked up and worked in the round.

This vest is available in one size which fits a UK size 10/12 (a small)

I knitted my gauge swatch in stockinette, as my chosen pattern is very similar. If your chosen stitch pattern has a different gauge, I recommend that you swatch with this instead!

Materials:

• 5mm straight or circular needles
• 6mm straight or circular needles
• 5mm short circular needles (for the armholes & neck ribbing)
• Stitch holder (for back of neck and unworked front panel stitches)
• 1 stitch marker (or scrap yarn)
• Darning needle
• Any chunky weight yarn

I used 2.5 skeins of ‘Paintbox: Simply chunky’ (100g/136m) - of course you can use any yarn and needles as long as you get gauge!
