“Choices”

This shawl was destined to be a very different style, but the yarn once wound and with the first stitches cast on, I was drawn to change direction and this shawl was the result.

It made me think about the daily choices we face in everything we do and how many different paths could be taken. With the material and expanding world we now live in, our choices are extreme, and personally I would love to have those alternatives reduced and the pace of life slowed down so that more conscious decisions could be made.

The shawl of course gives you the choices to select some beautiful yarn, choose a peaceful and relaxing environment to work on it, and ultimately the choice of clothing and occasion to wear it. Whichever yarns and colours you choose, I hope you enjoy making the shawl and thank you as always for the support of my work.

The design does also allow you the choice to wear the shawl the other way up than its photographed in the pictures, the details are given in the blocking directions.
