I’ve always loved these big chunky bumble bees in my garden so it was time to design a mosaic square featuring these gardening friends!

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

This pattern includes written row-by-row instructions and a color chart with the X’s all marked.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

The sample image took approx 2 oz (100 yds) of the background teal color, 1.5-2 oz of black, and .5 oz or less of red-violet, and just a couple yards each of grey & white. Great way to use up scraps!
