The crescent shape always lays so nicely around your shoulders, and with the size of this one, it’s easy to wrap around so you can wear it many ways. I recommend having approximately 350 yards for Color 1 (variegated in the pic) and 450 yards for Color 2 (solid in the pic) to be safe. Pattern is very easy to adjust for your amount of yarn though, so no worries.

Shawl doesn’t necessarily require blocking, but pin blocking will definitely open the lacework up more and allow you to shape your shawl exactly how you want it.
