Choose Your Side
Choose Your Side is a fun, easy vest is a good beginner project or a quick knit for more experienced knitters. This reversible, beginner friendly design can be worn with any ease you please! One vest, three models. Which look do you prefer?
This design is worked from the botton up all in one piece. Stitches are divided and fronts/back are worked separately to create the generous armhole. A decorative double bind off is used to join the fronts to the back. A vide link is provided in the pattern to demonstrate this technique.
The rib is a seed stitch-slip stitch pattern that is worked up the front edges as you go. It is slowly introduced at the armhole edge to create a fuss free arnhole finish. Once shoulders are joined, the only other finishing is around the neck opening, Specific directions for picking up stitches are provided so there is no need for any calculations.
The desing looks equally nice on either side, hence the name. Before joining shouldes, choose your favorite side. The model shows Stockinette stitch as the right side.
