Chore Mitts
This pattern is written with directions for 2 different types of yarn. You can choose between a larger sturdier type mitt, or a smaller lighter weight version. Both versions feature a longer wrist section for a bit more coverage. The floats created by using multiple strands of Oh Dang! as the contrast color, give a warm and ultra soft lining to the mitts. This pattern is a great way to use up any extra Oh Dang! that you may have in your stash, as each strand is at most 29 1/2 yards/4.5 grams (a total of 118 yards/18 grams), depending which version you knit. Don’t be afraid to use different colored strands.
For a sturdier larger fit (7 1/2 - 8 1/2” circumference), the Pishkun Version uses 222 yards/87g of The Farmers Daughter Fibers Pishkun, and 118 yards/18g of the Farmers Daughter Fibers Oh. Dang!.
For a smaller snugger fit (6 1/2 - 7 1/2” circumference), the Bear Paw DK version, uses 185 yards/80g of The Farmers Daughter Fibers Bear Paw DK, and 72 yards/11g of The Farmers Daughter Fibers Oh Dang!.
This is a versatile pattern with easy options that allow for customization.
