The Chowder Mitt is the first in a series that is based on the things I love most about Cape Cod. A new pattern will be released every month of the year for 2025. The Chowder mitt is so warm, cozy and comfortable. It reminds me of a big bowl of hot chowder on a cold winter’s day and there is no better chowder anywhere than on the Cape.
With all of the slipped stitches, the mitt knits up easily and quickly and you will find that it is a great way to use up some of those beautiful leftover yarns you have in your ever-growing stash! You will need three different colors of yarn to make one pair of mitts. The main color takes approx. 30 grams and each of the contrasting colors only take about 15 grams.

The weight of the yarn is not critical but you want to get gauge. You should be between 4.5 and 5 stitches to the inch .
