This hat is designed to knit up to a fairly dense fabric to keep the cold coastal winds at bay! The hat is designed to represent Chris & Jet’s amazing journey around the UK.

The construction allows you to create a 3-colour band that reflects a statement from Chris and was the original inspiration for this hat. When Chris started on his journey, he was asked how he knew where he was going, his response was simple: ‘I keep the sea to my left’. The rib of this hat is a reminder to keep the sea to your left.

Besides being a personal quest, Chris is also raising money for the SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents. The rib is also a rough representation of the SSAFA logo colours as a reminder of all that he has done.

The proceeds from the sale of this pattern will go to the SSAFA in Chris’ name. Thank you from all of us!
