Inspired by the beautiful traditional Lily of the Valley lace designs of Estonia. The shawl has a deep lace border knitted out from a bias garter st centre.
The dress is knitted from the bottom up with raglan sleeves and buttons up the back for ease of dressing.
The skirt of the dress can be knitted as long or as short as you like. just remember to allow extra yarn if you decide to make the dress longer.
ERATTA: If you are knitting from the magazine version of pattern
there is a portion of the dress pattern missing from the magazine.
After the set up row work as follows
Replace the stitches from the bodice onto the 3mm needle.
With RS facing: knit LH back sts, Place marker, knit across first sleeve sts, Place marker, knit across front bodice sts, Place marker, knit across second sleeve sts, place marker, knit across RH back sts.
Next row k3, purl to last 3 sts k3.
Decrease row:* knit to2 sts before marker, k2tog, slip maker, ssk* repeat for each marker, k to end
Repeat these 2 rows until bodice measures 5(5.5, 5.75,6)inches 12.5(14,14.5, 15) cm from the top of the eyelet border.
