Paper copy of the Sletts Shawl, originally released in the 1980’s as ‘My Weekly Baby Knits Shawl L252’ and designed by Gladys Amedro this 2ply Shawl makes a beatuful Hap for everyday use or for a christening, the edging is worked first and then all the inside stitches are picked up and the four borders are worked at the same time in the round. The centre is then worked and attached to the inside of the borders as it is knit.

Traditional Shetland shawl is worked from the scalloped edging inwards, with a deep border in a broken wave pattern border and a centre of eyelet rounds. Uses 7 x 28g skeins (or 8 x 25g balls) of J&S Shetland 2 ply lace weight wool.

Finished size 50” square.
