Christian Fish Prayer Cloth

This is based on pocket prayer cloths being widely circulated on sites such as:

My only contribution is the fish and cross in the center.

Once you have completed your fish, you may choose to create an embroidered cross, 4 stitches tall and 3 stitches wide in the head end of the fish using duplicate stitch.

Materials:
4.5 mm needles US 7
About 9 grams of worsted weight yarn.
Tapestry needle to weave ends.
Gauge is not important. The cast on side of my cloth is 3 ¾” wide, so it’s about 19 stitches in 4”. If you knit a regulation gauge swatch, you have just made a small pocket prayer cloth, so why not let it be its own swatch?
