Christine Women's Slip Stitch Pullover
This pullover has embossed bands and a slip stitch pattern with a colour gradient from the bottom to the top. The pattern creates an intricate effect with little difficulty as it is worked with 1 colour at a time. Choose a self-striping sock yarn as the contrast-colour for a striking and highly original result.
The jumper is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Body and sleeves are worked as separate tubes from the lower edge to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and knitted in a tapered tube. This makes reading the charts and working the slip stitches easier, and there is only a small seam under the armhole to sew up after the knitting is complete. Waist and front neck shaping are added for a tailored fit. Together with the raglan shaping this gives the sweater good structure and stability to always make it hang straight.
For your convenience, there are separate instructions in an attractive layout for each size (36, 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46). So don’t be daunted by the number of pages in the PDF. There are only 6 for each size, including the photos. You may find my full descriptions easier to follow than the standard brief and cryptic ones.
The light knitted fabric in fingering weight wool will keep you comfortably warm.
For women who desire elegance in daily life.
