Christmas bauble Ferrero Rocher advent calendar
This little bauble can be knitted in around an hour making it ideal as a project for the long winter nights leading up to Christmas. An alternative to the usual advent calendars in shops, the baubles can be either hung on your tree to search for, or hung as a garland from your mantelpiece. It is just the right size for a Ferrero Rocher or Lindt chocolate ball. You could even add a number “25” for a special gift on Christmas Day!
Materials needed are:
1 ball King Cole Tinsel chunky 50g wool (should be enough to make several baubles). If making an advent calendar you will need several balls depending on if you are mixing your colours. I made mine from left over wool from my chocolate orange Christmas bauble pattern (available to purchase from my Ravelry store)
1 ball silver or gold Ricorumi Lamé 10g yarn (again see above re quantity )
4 x double pointed 3mm needles
1x darning needle for sewing down top and making hanger
Row marker
1x needle threader (not essential)
Card to make “date” labels if turning into an advent calendar
Number peel offs
