Twinkling lights strung across the mantle, candles glowing with golden warmth through the silvery veneer of frost-covered windows, and the jingle of bells and chimes on tree branches in a gentle breeze outside (or indoors, as your cat climbs your tree!) – the holiday season is full of delights for the senses. Perhaps no single decoration quite encapsulates the essence of playful enchantment, though, like a colorful ornament. Designed to capture a bit of that childlike awe, these Christmas Baubles socks will keep your feet snug and warm as you float off to the land of sugar plums, and awake into the true magic of the season: a world transformed into one of peace, comfort, and joy.

1 tapestry needle

Gauge & Notes

Socks are cast on using Judy’s Magic Cast-on, then worked in the round on DPNs from the toe up. They include a heel flap and gusset heel construction, with a sideways cuff bind-off technique. Pattern features knits and purls, slipped stitches, yarn overs, decreases, and a moving beginning of round in the lacework section. Instructions are written.

Pattern is written for 3 sizes: Small (32 sts), Medium (40 sts), and Large (48 sts).

For easy visual reference sizes are color-coded.
