Create your own cosy Christmas hat with this quick and easy crochet pattern. The Christmas Beanie is a cosy chunky hat with a unique stitch effect. This pattern can be tweaked to fit small or larger sizes by decreasing ribbing rows and height of the hat.

It is worked flat and joined at the end so is great for beginners. The pattern is a combination of simple Slip Stitch and Half Double Crochet stitches.

You can use any chunky yarn for this pattern.

Materials Required
1 to 2 balls of any chunky yarn you like. This pattern uses the yarn Santa’s Soul by TheQuickSticks on Etsy. It uses approx 180g of yarn.
5.0mm or 5.5mm hook for ribbing.
6.0mm or 6.5mm hook for the main bulk of the hat.
Scissors
Yarn needle for sewing up hat and sewing in ends.
