This Christmas bell can be crocheted with either worsted weight yarn and size H hook, OR sport weight yarn and size G hook, OR size 10 crochet thread and a size 7 steel hook. The worsted weight bell is 3” tall by 3 ½” in diameter at widest point, the sport weight bell is 1 ¼” by 2 ½”, and the thread bell is 1 ½” by 1 ½”. If desired, a jingle bell may be suspended from the top inside the bell to make it “ring”. The bell has texture from post dc stitches, and has a scalloped edge at the bottom.

It can be used as a Christmas tree ornament, or group several together for a wreath or swag decoration or a door ornament.

This is a great project to use up small amounts of yarn, as it only takes 24-30 yards of yarn for each bell.
