Christmas Bunting - Granny Style
Christmas needs trees, stars, stockings, baubles and bells – so put them together in some bunting to decorate your home! The 5 bunting designs are based on traditional granny stitches, so are quite quick to make. Make them in seasonal colours and leave them plain (which is how I like them), or decorate with buttons and beads, or other ‘trinkets’, spray with glitter spray or use lurex yarn in them.
You can use any weight of yarn, but I chose mainly 4ply and dk. Each piece takes up to about 12m of yarn, depending on yarn weight and hook size.
I had difficulty finding the right Christmas colours - I settled on Yeomans Yarns Cannele 4 ply in 25 Prairie (green) and 26 Red for the trees, bells, stockings and baubles and Sublime Egyptian Cotton Dk in 320 Lily White for the stars; and I used the same hook size for all of these!
Pattern is written in English and US terms, and is charted.
