This adorable kitty makes a charming wall hanging, applique or holiday decoration. It will work up quickly with very little yarn. Make one for yourself and several to give as gifts to the cat lovers in your life! The cat measures about 7.5” tall (not including the ears) and 6.25” across (not including the tail).

Materials:

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver, 100% Acrylic, Worsted Weight (4), 364 yards per skein (Approximate amounts needed for 1 Christmas cat: 15 yds. White; 3 yds. each of Cherry Red and Paddy Green; 1½ yds. Black)

Hook: G Hook for cats. K Hook for Jute (if making a wall hanging). Gauge is not important on this project.

If making a Wall Hanging:
Dowel – about 3/8 diameter, up to 3 foot length to be cut.
Jute – 3 Yards. Add 1 yard per cat on the same dowel. (Yarn or Ribbon can be substituted for Jute)
Craft Glue (optional - to secure the Jute to the Dowel)
