Christmas Chocolate Orange Cover
These cute Chocolate Orange Covers are fun to make and are perfect for that little treat.
If you don’t like chocolate oranges, you can stuff the body and sew a piece of felt at the bottom.
The PDF pattern includes instructions for all covers. They are simple and easy to knit, ideal for a beginner. They are perfectl for charity knits and unique handmade gifts.
The snowman has a funky hat and scarf, the reindeer is very cute with a smart red scarf and the gnome has a pointy hat with a bell.
The covers are knitted with DK yarn on 3.25 mm needles. Each cover takes about 20 g of wool, so the 25g balls are excellent for this lovely project. You don’t have to use the same colours as I have, you can mix, do stripes and add embellishments such as bells and bows. If you are knitting a few of these, Stylecraft Special DK have some lovely colours. You can also use fluffy wool for the beard. I used James C Brett Faux Fur.
They can be used in Christmas Eve boxes, stood on a shelf, used a stocking filler, or just placed around the house, keep refilling with chocolate so you can sneak a chocolate segment whenever you go past! They are also ideal for Secret Santa
You will need:
3.25 mm needles
Different coloured DK yarn
Darning needle for sewing up
PLEASE NOTE THE FINISHED COVERS ARE NOT INCLUDED, IT IS A PDF DOWNLOADABLE KNITTING PATTERN
