The pattern is easy to follow with step-by-step detailed instructions accompanied by plenty of photos. (It is 19 pages long with plenty of photos illustrating the process).
Yarn and Equipment
Elf Cupcakes
Yarn Alize Cotton Gold, cotton (55%), acrylic (45%), 330 m - 100 g. Weight: Sport (5 ply)
1. Color skin (458). Used for the head of the Elves.
You will need approximately 5g of the yarn.
2. Color green (126). Used for the lower part of the cupcake (I will call it basket), pompom
and the hat lapels.
You will need approximately 6g of the yarn.
3. Color bright red (56). Used for the hats and basket lapels.
You will need approximately 5g of the yarn.
4. Color white (55). Used for the hat.
You will need approximately 3g of the yarn.
5. Color terracotta (89). Used for the hair.
You will need approximately 3g of the yarn.
6. Four small yellow buttons for the basket Ø 6 mm (0,24 inch).
Snowman Cupcakes
Yarn Alize Cotton Gold
1. Color white (55).
You will need approximately 10g of the yarn.
2. Color green (126). Used for the flower on the hat.
YarnArt Jeans Weight: Sport (5 ply)
1. Color red (51). Used for the basket, pompom and hat lapels, and also for the embroidery on
the socks. You will need approximately 5g of the yarn.
2. Color black (53). Used for the hat pf the boy.
You will need approximately 2g of the yarn.
3. Four small white buttons for baskets Ø 6 mm (0,24 inch) and one red button Ø 8 mm
for the flower on the hat.
Gingerbread Cupcake
Yarn Alize Cotton Gold
1. Color dark brown (493). Used for the baskets.
You will need approximately 3g of the yarn.
2. Color cream (62). Used for the hat and the basket decor.
You will need approximately 7g of the yarn.
YarnArt Jeans Weight: Sport (5 ply)
3. Color beige (07). Used for the hat and the ruffle on the basket.
You will need approximately 5g of the yarn.
4. One red button Ø 8 mm for the flower on the hat.

Other Materials and Instruments

1. Three pairs of eyes for toys or two halfbeads Ø 3 mm (0,16 inch)
2. Some embroidery cotton in black color for the embroidery of the mouth and brows of the cupcakes. I used DMC embroidery cotton thread No. 310.
3. Crochet hook: 2 mm (B/1- US, 14- UK), 2,5 mm (C/2 – US, 12 - UK).
4. A piece of carton or dense plastic to make the baskets bottoms sturdy and steady.
5. Chopstick (or any other wooden stick with a blunt end) – for the stuffing of the toy.
6. Washable polyester filling for the stuffing of the toy.
7. Yarn needle – a long needle for assembling of the toy.
